It is not without reason that Kłodźko trout was included in the national list of regional products as the one that makes Lower Silesia famous. Well, Kłodźko Land is colloquially referred to as the land of trout and grayling. Their presence in the Kłodźko Basin is noteworthy to the extent that these species are found in crystal clear water and do not tolerate pollution - so the trout being raised must have a constant supply of clean, well-oxygenated water. Kłodźko trout is rainbow in colour (the so-called rainbow trout) which is characterized by delicate, light pink, moderately fatty and not very bony meat, and acquires special flavour during the smoking process.

One of the trout farms increasingly appearing on the map of Lower Silesia, which is both a fishery and a fryer/restaurant, is the Trout Habitat located in Mysłakowice. It farms fish that you can catch yourself from an area of 6000 sqm, not much smaller than a soccer field. It has been divided into two fishing grounds - in the first one, anglers can tackle carp, perch and pike using the float method; the second is reserved for the star of the place - trout.

You can treat your palate to it in the restaurant run by the owners of the fishery - the local specialty is trout from the oven in herbs prepared according to an original and secret recipe. The treasure of the Spirit of the Mountains - a local brand of the Karkonosze Mountains - is also trout in sweet-wine marinade available for purchase to take away, regional fish soup or trout in sweet-wine marinade.

The Trout Habitat is a place where, of course, there is only one king, but it should not be forgotten that fish are herd animals and that they live in symbiosis with the aquatic ecosystem. So, the owners took care of an attraction for the youngest in the form of a Fish Park (although there are also models of amphibians, reptiles and insects - all freshwater fauna) of a scientific and entertaining nature. The exposition is located at the bottom of a pond where fish used to be raised.
